Inspirational Art - how it evolved In
preparing this article, I pondered the question - 'How on earth does
one briefly describe a new concept in art which has taken seemingly a
lifetime to research and develop? This
story deserves telling from the beginning.
As a child, I was either actively bouncing a ball or passively
drawing. Ball bouncing took
over, art shut down and sport remained a dominant factor until 1989 when a
car accident introduced me to creative energy bodywork, personal
effectiveness training and the mystery of cellular memory.
I spent the next eighteen years passionately clearing energy blocks, body
cleansing and weeding my inner garden of negative beliefs and perceived
limitations, at the same time supporting others in private practice and
groups to do the same - a fascinating exploration which paid off because my artist within
quietly emerged towards the close of 1995...... In April 1996 a friend
gave me a ticket to Fiji for my heartfelt mission to paint angels.
With no one to consult on techniques, I simply did it, my writer
and artist's hand guided by the Divine, reconciling my inner child who
had patiently waited all those years to draw and paint again.
Three months later, The Angels of Virtues concept was born. Twelve exquisite paintings stimulating the enthusiasm and imagination of the creative inner child and tuning into the spirit of Divine Feminine Essence - its softness and strength, its wisdom and resilience. Twelve beautiful angels portraying 'down to earth' virtues and values granted everyone in the very beginning. Fiji was an unforgettable
uplifting, inspiring experience bringing an edition of The Angels
of Virtues book published in 1998. Then a new style of art
emerged - images focused on
the vortex principle of limitlessness.
I
was inspired to write down titles of 32 paintings for my exhibition
in 1999. Once again, it was all to do with intent, capturing the
purpose and meaning on canvas, working on the principle
that what filters through the eyes and the senses automatically becomes
reality. Vortex images such as The Light of Enlightenment, Be Still, and know that I AM, Birth of a Creative Universe, First Came the Light, I AM OM, I AM Unconditional Love, The Eye of the Creator and so on brought deep insights and understandings to be transported into a limitless objective big picture world of continual creation and infinite possibilities. Inspirational Art was emerging as Transformation through the Visual, a new method of self-development, each painting telling its story and purpose. I was feeling lighter and lighter as the positive intent and vibrations influenced my whole being. These profound changes, interestingly enough, reflected in friends who would drop by regularly to check out progress and get another energetic zap. Together, we were clearing energy blocks through art - raising our vibrations, consciousness and awareness, relaxing body and mind, uplifting our spirits and soothing our souls. Everything and everyone was taken higher. In
2000, a friend lent me a video on images taken through the giant Hubble
Telescope because he saw how my art was a reflection. I played the
video immediately and was in awe of the colours, the shapes, the swirling
vortexes, the vibrations and the feeling of limitlessness and eternal
creativity captured out there in space. Like a bolt out of blue,
literally, I realised where I had been in the sleep state to bring such
similar transformational images back to earth and capture the vibration on
canvas. I was momentarily blown away by that similarity and then
realised the actual awesomeness of my experience. By September 2005 the portfolio was complete. The most powerful images, seventeen in total were reproduced on archival canvas and photo paper. Wednesday 16 August 2006 brought the official launch with an Inspirational Art Audiovisual PowerPoint Presentation. Audience feed back on benefits gained through this big screen experience spurred me on with this innovative concept in vibrational image. Donating 17 Inspirational Art prints to the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation in July 2006 brought the enthusiasm of staff to hang them in district wards and clinics to reinforce my long held dream of making worthwhile contributions to helping people worldwide........ And
so ...... the first inspirational art
