Welcoming Change

Quotations from Yanis Bayada

  • I see success as waking up to yet another glorious day to learn more and explore.

  • I find that conflict in relationship is rarely a question of love - it is only a question of behaviour.

  • Very often, it's not what is said in relationship, but what is not said that bruises the heart.

  • Consider this - If it's not what you expected, then you know it's always right.

  • If I tune into present time and leave when I'm ready, I'm always on time.

  • Surrendering to death brings eternal life.

  • As each year passes, I realise it's not how much I know. It's how much I've yet to learn and remember.

  • Life is one big process - one process follows another - we keep getting it until we get it !

  • Let me be the observer, the witness ~See everything as it is truly is, not the way I want it to be.
    See
everyone as they truly are, not the way I want them to be.
    Accept
everything as it truly is, not the way I want it to be.
    Accept
everyone as they truly are, not the way I want them to be.
    Accept
unconditionally the choices of others and with a heart full of love, honour everyone's journey.

  • When we make decisions strictly in present time without reference to past experiences and influences, we have arrived to be more of who we truly are.

  • I see myself as a player on the chessboard of life, watching and witnessing as the Universe orchestrates each wise and wondrous move.  With my soul and spirit equal to all other players, I am willingly moving and dancing in tune with Divine Destiny and Universal Flow.

  • I now understand that the personal issues I chose to overcome in this lifetime do not make me a victim of those circumstances but rather a victor over them.

  • Life's a journey.  The destination is known yet the journey unknown.  In that unknowingness, I find myself -  I find out who I am, my strengths, my weaknesses and from those weaknesses I can build and take myself higher to further triumphs.  In taking myself higher, I take others with me, elevating the spirit and purifying the soul. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Quotations from Albert Einstein

  • We should take care not to make the intellect our god.  It has, of course, powerful muscles but no personality.

  • Only two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former.

  • Reading after a certain age diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits.  Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking.

  • The ideals which have lighted my way and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully have been kindness, beauty and truth.  The trite subjects of human efforts, possessions, outward success, luxury have always seemed to me contemptible.

  • To punish me for my contempt for authority, fate made me an authority myself.

  • It is nothing short of a miracle that modern methods of instruction have not yet entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry.

  • Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

  • My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slightest details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds.

Listening

My journey is my journey, how can you comprehend
That what becomes the truth for me is one I cannot lend
Or even simply give away, because it is of me,
It is of me, and me alone, not him, not her, not thee,
A private part of who I am and what I represent,
Impossible to understand from where your journey's sent?

You may perceive my truth as not what comes from in my heart,
Opinion may prevent your ears from hearing me, to start
A whole new way of seeing me, as I emerge anew
From depths of ancient patterning, beliefs that were askew.

I pray you listen to my words in strictly present time,
Not from the past, the mist, the fog, the ancient paradigm
Which colours what I say to you, to touch your loving heart
And share with me another win in letting go the past.

I promise I will give to you the same in innocence,
To listen - what you say right now with nothing in defence
Of what my recall may present in your experience
And know its yours, and yours alone to understand its sense.

Our bodies bring up what they need to clear the old and worn
So we may follow destiny, in love and truth, not scorn
And as we clear, we link with God, much stronger in our truth
To walk with Him in worthiness, under Heaven’s roof.

I pray you understand these words and what they do convey,
Because it means a lot to me to speak these words and say
That's wonderful, good onto you, another challenge o’er,
You’re doing well, good luck to you, on Angel wings you soar.

It's listening, it's listening, to matters of the heart,
The soul, the spirit, all in turn to play their special part
In sorting out this earthly realm, as hard as it may be,

In thanking you for being you, we set each other free.    Yanis Bayada

A Recipe for Life
When seemingly deadly blows to the heart, the ego and the Spirit are rendered though our choices and  experiences which we create for ourselves in our quest for learning and truth, try this recipe ~

  • acknowledge and express your emotions
  • take responsibility and work out how it was created
  • When that is finished and it will take as long as it takes,
  • thank it
  • laugh at it
  • let it go and continue on your path of life with honourable intent, doing what it right for you according to your conscience, be creative and let your Spirit rise and expand once more
  • If we choose to stay in our mathematical left brain making the experience wrong, we miss a glorious opportunity to purify our souls and move forward.  We are always in the perfect place at the perfect time and there is always an opportunity on its way to use the wisdom of that previous experience for yourself and others and take it higher.  Yanis Bayada

A Meditation with Nature
How perfect this summer of '93.  Warm clear days, typical of a Mediterranean climate, with bright blue skies and full puffy clouds - those beautiful clouds of summer, a painter's dream.  Living by the sea is living in paradise to me.  I wonder at the Lemurians - perhaps it was here, that paradise of theirs?

The sea has been exquisite this summer of '93 - exquisite in its welcoming clear green, exquisite in its gentleness and comfortable temperature, exquisite in its easy flow and consistent sparkle - pulsing, ever pulsing, drawing back upon itself to recreate itself, for yet another wave to merrily take its unique journey to the shore.  I haven't seen an unhappy wave all summer - busy maybe, but never unhappy.

The sparkling sea, how happy is she, how happy is she with me.
The calming sea, how calming is she, how calming is she to me.
The soothing sea, how soothing is she, how soothing is she to me.
The wonderful sea, forever is she, forever is there for me.

My favourite place is the lake and the beach adjacent to its outward flow, stretching for over fifteen kilometres with hardly a house in sight.  It is my sanctuary.  I love and cherish its tranquillity and peace.  It offers in its ancient wisdom a haven for meditation to soothe and calm my soul, to take away the pressures of every day life and the pressures I sometimes impose on myself.  When I visit I wonder about the ancient tribe, the indigenees who totally respected and loved this place.

I wonder at the might of Mother Nature and the continual lessons she gives in 'going with the flow'.  With each rising and falling tide, the passage of the lake changes - it changes without changing anything of great significance, taking the path of least resistance with each tiny grain of sand playing its part, willing to move with the flow of the water in the overall scheme of allowing the lake to flow in to fill, and out to take its course into the ocean beyond.

This sacred space is my meditation with nature, my chance to be with me, with my Maker and the wonder of the earth and all her magnificent energies, strength and beauty.  How much we have to learn from her, how much she has to teach us if only we would listen.  The message comes loud and clear - 'Be with me and I will teach you everything - everything you have always wanted to know.  Be with me and I will lead you to a peace which you may have never felt before, a peace within your very soul, a peace that comes from being one with me, the earth and your very beginnings.  A peace that comes from simply being - being as you were meant to be, being with the overpowering sense of oneness - oneness with all.'

I walk and begin to tune in with all my senses.  What do I hear?  I hear the unmistakeable call of a gull.  I hear the cicadas.  I hear the waves.  I hear some children playing and their squeals of delight.  'Children have such fun totally in present time", I think to myself.  What else can I hear?  Can I hear the wind?  Or is it a gentle breeze - it is indeed, in all its gentleness.

Now - let me listen with my eyes.  What can I see?  I see the sky, blue and clear, with joyous clouds moving slowly and majestically on their unending journeys.  I see the sand dunes covered in pale green grass, tenaciously and diligently keeping the dunes together to protect the shore.  I see the she-oaks waving in the breeze, their branches silhouetted against the bright sky.  The pandanus with their thick brown roots high above the ground and an ancient towering fir tree.

I see a magnificent see of green interspersed with white bubbles, clear and sparkling.  The tireless waves moving gracefully and flexibly with each other, unwavering in their purpose to end their journey and begin another.  I see gulls, so cheeky with their red legs and beak, and pristine white and grey feathers and the keenest eye to pick up yet another morsel to satisfy their needs.  I see the shells and stones on the beach and the footprints of the unknown.  I wonder at their journey and the joys life brings for them.

The waves lap at my feet - a reminder of more of my senses - my sense of feeling.  I welcome the wet warmth of the water, gently swirling with the sand beneath my feet, the breeze upon my skin.  My body responds to its delightful coolness on this warm summer's day.  And then the sun, the ever-nurturing sun upon my skin - another reminder - how nature welcomes me to feel part of her, not separate from her.

I begin to smell the clear, clean freshness of the air, my lungs welcoming every breath I take as I continue my meditation with movement, my meditation with nature in present time - knowing that this is all there is - present time.

I thank this sanctuary for being there for me, my sacred space where I bear my soul, knowing that the answers I hear are a reflection of myself, a reflection of nature and being part of eternity.  I pray that I never take it for granted, never abuse it, always cherish and respect and honour it as the ancient people did.

Nature is always there if I am willing to listen.  It is always there for me if I make the time to visit and enjoy an exchange with Mother Earth and the Earth Mother.

Sadly, time to go - time to gently withdraw to begin another day's activities.  I remind myself how blessed I am to be living in paradise, in good health.    I give thanks for my abundance - my cup runneth over!  I will return, I say out loud.  And very very soon.  Yanis Bayada

Max the Worthiness Cat
What a Cat is Max!  Every patience does he tax,
At the rise of the sun or the setting of the moon,
Time means nothing at all, only comforts one and all!

A miaow at the door, a gentle scratch of his paw,
'Let me in, it's my wish, I've come home for some fish,
Add some milk and I'm done - a long night, I've had fun!'

More miaows and some prancing, tail moving and dancing.
Expectant  - 'I'm here!  Don't muck about dear!
I'm famished, with thirst.  Attend to me FIRST!'

All his needs will be there, he just knows that I care,
Snappy Tom, milk galore, he knows there is more,
And the world's at his feet. What a cat, so discreet!

Now licking his lips as he wriggles those hips,
'Thanks a lot, it was great, now I'm off for a spate
Of the sun and a rest, I deserve just the best!'

Welcoming Change

There's movement at the station, and we don't know what it is,
No need to worry, rush about, or get all in a 'tizz',
Please sit and wait and meditate and not get in the way,
The prompts will come from up above and here's what God will say

"It's times like this to be aware to stay away from guilt
And fear of being lazy as the path for you is built,
For the Masters and the angels have everything in hand,
Tun in and act when timing's right, just know and trust and understand.
The CEO is God 'imself, who doesn't need a hand!

"Be still my child and let it go and take a gentle stand,
For I AM here to guide and show, Be still my child, be still and know."
